Montana Sapphire Necklace No. 2

This necklace features a beautiful little blue sapphire gemstone that came from the mountains of western Montana. The sapphire sits on a small round backplate that I've made from recycled sterling silver scraps. I melted down the scraps & then hammered it out to form a perfectly imperfect pendant. I created a bail to fit with the organic & rough around the edges look to this necklace. 

The gold-filled chain measures 16 inches at its shortest & 18 inches at its longest. It is attached with a silver lobster clasp.
